Jordan & The Lost City
May 2027
Join me and internationally acclaimed photographer Benjamin Barakat for an unforgettable 6-day photography adventure through three of Jordan's most incredible destinations—the Dead Sea, Petra, and Wadi Rum.
Our journey begins at the legendary Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth, where you'll have the opportunity to photograph dramatic desert landscapes, experience the unique sensation of effortlessly floating in its mineral-rich waters, and witness stunning sunsets over one of the world's most iconic bodies of water.
From there, we'll explore the ancient city of Petra, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. We'll photograph the world-famous Treasury and Monastery while learning techniques for both daytime and night photography. As the crowds disappear and the candles illuminate the sandstone walls, you'll experience Petra in a way few photographers ever do.
We’ll then venture into the breathtaking desert landscapes of Wadi Rum. Known as the Valley of the Moon, Wadi Rum offers towering sandstone mountains, dramatic arches, endless dunes, and some of the darkest skies in the Middle East. We'll photograph spectacular sunrises and sunsets, capture the Milky Way above ancient desert formations, and create unique storytelling images alongside local Bedouin guides and their camels.
Together, Benjamin and I will provide hands-on instruction throughout the journey, helping photographers of all skill levels improve their landscape, travel, and night photography while experiencing the rich history and culture that make Jordan such a remarkable destination.
This workshop is designed for photographers who want more than just beautiful images. It's an opportunity to immerse yourself in the history, culture, and landscapes of Jordan while improving your photography alongside a small group of like-minded adventurers.
Whether you're floating in the Dead Sea, photographing the candlelit Treasury in Petra, capturing the Milky Way through a desert arch in Wadi Rum, or sharing tea with Bedouin hosts beneath a canopy of stars, this is a journey that combines adventure, culture, and photography into an experience you'll never forget.
